Kardos László (1918-1980) ethnographer. From 1942 until 1948, director Stephen Györffy College, 1947-48 was the General Secretary of NÉKOSZ. 1951 Museum researcher, 1956-57 Director-General of the institution. In 1956 he initiated the reorganization of the folk student movement and was a member of the Revolutionary Committee of the Hungarian Intelligentsia. After the revolution helped Nagy provisions of the benefits abroad, for these 1958 sentenced to life imprisonment. After his release in 1963, the Museum worked in the main employee.
